Dry Skin Diet Remedy

My dog seems to have some dry skin on his "elbow", does anyone have any home remedies that may help?

I've taken him to the vet and was given some expensive cream that didn't work much, his hair grew back but underneath is still dry skin.
I've tried changing his diet and rubbing vasoline on it as well as olive oil and mineral oil.

It may be how he is laying on the floor and for that there is not much you can do. If its rubbing, no cream or lotion will help. Many of my dogs, once they got a bit older, had rough skin patches on their elbows from laying on the floor. As long as it doesn't bother the dog and its not spreading, its probably not anything to worry about...and probably not much you can do about it. Except cover your floors is super soft cushy non rubby stuff
