should i take both vitamin B5 and vitamin B-complex?

im going to start taking vitamins to further improve the appearance of my skin. doing some research, ive found that high doses of vitamin B5 helps prevent acne and also keeps the skin healthy, so i plan to do that since my main issue is acne. however, many people say that in addition to taking high doses of vitamin B5, i should also take a vitamin B-complex along with it. is that really necessary? since i only want the vitamin B5?
