Light skinned black woman needs makeup advice?

What brands have the best makeup and moisturizers for black women, specifically ones with light skin? I have a few acne scars I'm trying to heal and I need a good foundation. Is powder better than liquid or the other way around?

Either BareMinerals or MAC. If you're a WOC, you can't really skip out on paying that extra cash for good foundation, concealer, powder and/or moisturizer. Drugstore brands on black women just make us look chalky or ashy. As for eyeshadows, mascaras, blushes, eyeliners and whatnot, you can get any brand you like! (:
